Change of exit?

Hello,
 I am trying to apply for a tourist visa. I want to enter through the  airport in Hanoi, no. Problem. I want to exit by land into Laos. I am  not sure which land crossing to take. If I enter one on my visa will I  have a problem if I try to exit at another land crossing? Please reply.
