How to apply

Travellers from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia can apply for a visa for Vietnam in person at the embassy of Vietnam in Ulaanbaatar or apply for a pre-approved visa letter online to pick up the visa on arrival.

E-visa application

To apply for an e-visa online from Ulaanbaatar, please follow these steps:

  1. Access our online e-visa application form.
  2. Upload .jpg images of your Mongolian passport data page and a 4x6cm photo.
  3. Make the payment for the e-Visa fee (47 USD ~ 165393 MNT)
  4. Wait 5-7 working days. The earliest possible would be 19:30 PM, local Ulaanbaatar time on 17 September 2024.
  5. Receive evisa by email or download it on our status page.

Apply at the embassy

To apply for a visa at the embassy/consulate of Vietnam in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the following documents are required:

  • Valid passport for at least 06 months prior to your planned entry date (Travel documents or temporary passports may not be accepted)
